PAMPERED PUSS

Cats, unlike dogs, seem to think that they are royalty and have human servants to attend to all their wishes and needs. I tried to capture that royal spirit by using custom painted papers collaged on masonite board.

To create the papers, acrylic paint was poured on printing paper to achieve multi colours in cell-patterned designs.  Shapes to match a drawing were then cut out and adhered onto the board. Some acrylic painting was added for subtle transitions to complete the composition.
